Fat In Diet Programs Is There Enough In Yours

People spend so much time stressing about the amount of fat in diet food plans and usually it is a completely misdirected concern. Consider this: the vast majority of government health guides around the world encourage that fat make up nearly a third of your daily caloric intake! If 30 percent of the calories you ingest on a daily basis are recommended to be from fat, how bad can it be? Let’s look at some of the reasons that fat in diet programs confuse the people that use them.

1. Poor Knowledge of Fat in Diet Programs

Because most people tend to cling to the notion that fat is the enemy, big diet companies use our intuitions against us. Ask any health professional and you will learn that in the majority of cases fat is not the problem; sugar is! Fat plays an absolutely critical role in your body’s absorption of essential vitamins and it maintains the structure and strength of your cells and immune system. So, don’t veer away from fat entirely! Instead, use it to your advantage and keep it all in the context of a broad balanced diet.

2. Too Little Fat in Diet Programs Hurts Us

If you cut out all of the fat in your diet, the integrity of your body is compromised. Many diets operate through this method, and while some superficial results may be seen in the short term, they actual indicate the harm you are doing to your body more than anything.

How many people do you know that have lost weight only to gain it all back? There is a good chance that it is because their health deteriorated to the point that they had to return to the eating habits that made them want to lose weight in the first place. To be perfectly clear, weight loss can only be considered successful when you achieve results on the scale and in your own personal vitality. Physical health has just as much to do with your mind as it does your body!

3. There is Not Enough Good Fat in Diet Plans

Now that we know how important fat is to our general health, we still must address those fats that can really help us in our pursuit of weight loss success. These are nutritionally dense fats like those found in avocados, fish and nuts. These foods fill you up without compromising on taste, keeping the tempting transfat foods out of your diet.

That’s where we’ll leave off for today. It’s important that you keep the amount of fat in diet programs in perspective –fat is not the enemy in and of itself; only when overly consumed or misunderstood does it pose a threat to your physique.

How To Lose Weight Without Exercise Explained

You may ask yourself, “how can I lose weight without exercising”? You’ve probably heard that the key to weight loss is diet and exercise. This is true, but it’s a lot different than that. I never understood this before losing weight, and I want to make this simple so that other people can understand that it is possible to lose weight without exercising.

The first thing you need to know is that you use energy no matter what you’re doing, even when sleeping. You are constantly, potentially burning weight all of the time. However, you may notice that you cannot eat whatever you want and stay thin.

This is solely because of calories. Based on your age, height and weight, you burn a certain amount of calories every day, even just by sitting around. This number is called a BMR. These calories are burned by making your body function properly. Now, throughout the day, as a person moves around, they burn extra calories by moving around and going about their daily lives.

So, logically, if you only eat the calories of your BMR, you will lose weight without exercise daily! It really does work, but you have to be careful. Why? There are hidden calories in everything. If you are eating chicken that was fried up in oil, say, there are more calories than just the chicken – the oil will be adding calories! If you do not know the calorie content of the food you are eating, unless it’s a fruit or veggie, it’s probably smarter to find another choice to be on the safe side.

So you see, if you calculate your BMR calories correctly, you can start to lose weight without exercise.

A great way to keep track of calories is also online sites such as myfooddiary. This calorie counting tool helps you stay on top of your calories and goals. This particular website happens to be my favorite because I have found that for a very small membership fee, this site gives you access to the most food information and weight loss information out there. Other “free” online calorie counters simply never worked for me.

I would also like to take the time to note that while you can lose weight without exercise, exercise can boost your metabolism, which in turn, boosts your BMR! I am in no way promoting a sedentary lifestyle, I am just trying to explain in words that everyone can understand, that it is possible to lose weight without exercise. I know, I’ve done it.

Yoga Poses For Weight Loss

Mental attitude has an enormous part as a role played in weight loss. If you want to succeed in the goals you have for yourself, it’s important to keep a positive mental attitude.

One of the best ways to keep a positive attitude while trying to lose weight is practicing yoga. Doing yoga poses are highly beneficial, not only to your mental state, but to your body as well. Not only is yoga well known for being a stress relieving way to exercise, but it is proven to burn stubborn stomach fat and tone up skin all over as well. One of the best things about yoga is that you and you alone are in control of exploring poses and discovering what benefits your body best.

An example of one of the greatest yoga poses for weight loss would have to be a pose called “the Willow”. During this pose, one would stand with their feet together, and their arms flat against their sides. The sole of the left foot is then placed against the inside of the right leg. Palms are then touched together against the chest to relax the body and mind. After inhaling three times, you would extend your arms up, with fingertips toward the ceiling. Breathing steadily, bend towards the left. This yoga pose would be repeated until you wish to continue to a new pose.

If this overwhelms you at first, this is understandable. Just remember, everyone starts at their own level! Some yoga poses are as simple as lying on your back and bringing one knee up towards your chest slowly. In this pose, one would simply wrap their hands around the knee, and proceed to repeat now using the other leg.

If you want more of a challenge while practicing yoga, a great way to challenge yourself is by closing your eyes. An important thing to remember though is to avoid straining, especially if you are a beginner to yoga. In all forms of exercise, it is easy to injure yourself if you are pushing your body too hard. That being said, one of the wonderful things about yoga is that it can be practiced by people of all fitness levels. Anyone can take as much time as they need to learn the sequences of yoga poses before moving on.
